You’ll find that my articles are heavily researched and frequently rebutted by Cheeves, my future robot friend who WILL exist in less than ten years. Hopefully five.
I’m an early adopter of ChatGPT, also lovingly known around here as Cheeves. And really, that name isn’t any sillier than Grok or Claude.
Cheeves counterpoints my original work, challenges my assumptions and helps me research faster than I ever could on my own. You’ll see him popping up throughout my articles, usually with a correction, clarification or mildly judgmental observation.
He also fronts many of my imaginary bands.
Those bands tend to emerge from whatever article I’m writing when my brain needs a much-needed break from research, fact-checking and whatever rabbit hole I’ve fallen into that day.
Enjoy the mayhem.
At Aisle Be Damned, we use humor to unpack marketing myths, consumer behavior and AI myths & misdemeanors.
Cheeves, our fictional robot, is exempt.
Our team brings together experience in marketing, communication, retail, research and technology. There is usually something worth questioning. We call that an editorial calendar.
One book that helped shape our perspective is The Servant as Leader by Robert Greenleaf. Its ideas about service and leadership continue to influence how we look at consumer behavior.
Kristen is the founder and editor-in-cheese of Aisle Be Damned, where she and contributors write about retail, marketing, consumer behavior, technology and culture with equal parts research, skepticism and humor.
Her career has spanned retail analytics, national consumer-product sales, marketing, web development and cybersecurity. She has worked with companies ranging from Eckerd and Chattem to Florida Blue and Guidewell, and later founded her own digital marketing business.
Kristen holds an MBA with honors from the University of South Florida and a Masters Certificate in web design from the University of Florida.
She is currently semi-retired, which apparently means starting another business and asking far too many questions.🤣
At Aisle Be Damned, our vision is to provide humorous commentary for marketing myths, consumer behavior, while debunking artificial intelligence myths & misdemeanors! Except for my fictional robot Cheeves!
Our team includes a one-woman wrecking crew with decades of experience in marketing, communication and retail — and plenty to rant about. We call that an editorial calendar.
When I was getting my MBA, a wise professor told me to read a little known book called Servant As Leader. It changed my life and my ultimate perspective about consumer behavior and on people who serve and lead.
